Changed from windowed to full. crash..now game won't load anymore

  • Hi all,


    I am currently having problems when opening Rising World on steam.


    I bought the game, could launch the game in windowed mode but it was a bit to small in windowed mode so i changed it to full screen and my game hanged..


    Now i can't launch it anymore.


    When i push to launch the game in steam there is a little cmd box that opens and after that nothing happens ...


    Restarted pc, reinstalled java and the game, installed jdk and tryed to find the full screen fix in my beta tab in steam but can't find any beta's.


    Woud be wonderful to get some help.

  • To get the game running again, please delete the "config.properties" file in your game directory (steam/steamapps/common/risingworld). Fullscreen still causes problems on some very few systems, you can try to change the resolution first (select the same resolution you're also using on your desktop). If that does not help, please avoid fullscreenmode until it's fixed :)

    You can maybe try to edit the config.properties file, set "game_bypass_fullscreenadjustment" to true, change the key "graphic_refreshrate" to the refreshrate of your monitor (in most cases 60) and then test different values for "graphic_bitsperpixel" (usually 16, 24 and 32) :)
    If that all does not work, you have to wait until it's fixed...

    I thried this. It did not help.
    Maybe is it because i am using a hybrid graphics card. Always when i need more graphical power i use a program called bumlebee http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Hybrid-Grafikkarten/Bumblebee to use the second graphics card.
    Maybe that is the problem.

  • The keys you said does nothing in the game , they down dothing.


    Hmm yes there have been some problems concerning the console key with Linux in the past. One user reported that changing the keyboard layout from German to US or vice versa did the trick for him. Maybe it's worth a try? Just to check out which graphics card is used.
