I wish there was a setting to have the spiders make some kind of noise to warn you they are approaching.
I know they don't make noise in real life, but in real life they're not the size of large dogs either. 
And since we can't yet tame cats as RW camp pest control....
(My fault for creating my 'forever world' without excluding them from the world seed. I hope I will remember the next time there is a major re-create-new-world-update. Meanwhile, irl I'm sleeping with the lights on.)
