Changelog 2014-12-13: Linux support, serverbrowser and smaller changes

  • An update is available, finally introducing Linux support (for Steam, standalone already supported Linux) as well as a new feature: A serverbrowser, which helps you to find a multiplayer server (only dedicated servers are listed). Please not that this is a work-in-progress feature and will be further improved the next time.


    Apart from that this update also contains a few smaller changes, for example favorite blocks are now saved, and you can also specify start parameters for the game.


    Last but not least a few bugs have been fixed, especially a nasty multiplayer bug causing "Connection Errors".


    Feel free to give us feedback in the forums, and please report any bugs you find.

    • [Change] Server in the serverbrowser are now colored red when they are using a different version of the game
    • [Bugfix] Fixed problem when loading a world (or connect to multiplayer) with lots of animals (also new dedicated server files required!)
  • Really loving first impressions of the game, and you seem to be dedicated with frequent updates unlike some other voxels. Can't wait for the 'planned' implementation of gravity affected water.

  • I agree, the frequent updates are definitely a major plus for those of us following your progress.


    It's a small detail, but it goes a long way towards showing all of us that you are constantly putting effort into this game every day, and not just banging your heads against a brick wall and staring at the ceiling like one studio in particular that I will not name here.

    Frequent updates is what keeps me dedicated to a game. :)

    Maybe.. we will think about it ;) I personally don't like it to say which feature will be in the next update exactly, because sometimes not everything during development goes according to plan, and we change priorities while working on new updates. And we really hate it to delay updates because an announced feature is not ready yet^^
    Perhaps we can add some kind of a "long term roadmap", containing the planned features for the next updates

    First we will release a bugfix shortly, solving the multiplayer related issues. After that, we bring another update, containing new objects and perhaps (so no guarantee for that feature) tree replanting^^
