Pixels for Posters

Does anyone know the ideal picture resolution (pixels) for a full size poster?
Maybe something for red51 to dig into or anyone who knows.

I used something with a relatively lowish resolution earlier today (675x450) and even stretched as far as it would go it didn't look pixelated or anything. Haven't tried anything lower than that though.

Yes it does a good job enlarging even smaller resolutions than yours. I just wanted to do like a banner consisting of several posters at their max size, I guess I'll
just play with it to see what I can come up with. Thanks for your response Frosty.
