Brazilian cinema has always been boring, much like the classic Italian films, but since 2000, things have evolved and great movies have appeared.
I decided to indicate 4 good Brazilian films, my favorites:
Two Rabbits:
Do not expect hoolywood special effects, our producers do not have that much money, but the film is pretty cool and replaces realistic effects with videogame culture concepts.
City of God:
One of my favorite movies of all time, based on real characters that started the organized crime in Rio de Janeiro in the 60's.
Elite Squad:
Police action movie that shows with realism what happens in the most violent favelas in Brazil.
O Auto da Compadecida:
Comedy based on a classic of the folk literature of the Brazilian Northeast.
