hmmm not made wooden blocks yet, I was trying with stone blocks, Im guessing thats where I did it wrong.

How do you make wooden blocks? On the vidoes I see it done with marble, brick and metal blocks, they used the give item command and change the material ID?
Im missing something. I read about using woodbeams to create circles etc.
I can make the "wheel" using beams as spokes, but in images and videos I see square blocks aligning to the beams. My blocks wont be placed like that, they keep being placed ontop of the beams in straight line, I dont get what key to press to make my square blocks rotate and align to the spokes of the beams.
Any help?
Is it possible to open blueprints fro manual text edit? I havent played round with it yet, but seeing my minecraft schematics uses block id and x,y,z format I was hoping I can edit an converter to import my minecraft builds into a blueprint format.
