Welcome to the game. I can relate, regarding Second Life. Been a player for thirteen years, now. Much like Camelot, it can be a silly place.

One can also extract cannabidiol (CBD) from hemp. CBD is the non-psychotropic component of the plant, as opposed to THC which gets you high. I take it myself. While it is not a cure-all, it does have many medicinal uses. It helps me sleep better. I am not sure what use that would be in a survival game context, though. However, hemp oil is used as a lubricant, so of we get any sort of machinery in the future, that might be useful. It can also be used to produce biofuel.

I support this, whatever form it takes, whether it is contribute when and if you can, or a monthly donation. I will be happy to give, either way.

If you want to keep gaps to the minimum then it is better to use "modular snapping" with the Enter key. This way construction elements are aligned directly on one another
Not always. I have run into the offset issue even with modular snapping engaged. It happens less when putting planks or beams side to side rather than end to end. But as Deidre stated, it does seem to happen more often with builds with many many construction elements although I have not run into a situation where gaps appear after an update. I do notice that the offsets are more apparent depending on how the light hits them. It seems that when light strikes the "cut" portions of beams or planks just right, they almost seem to light up, or become almost shiny.

I am no developer either nor am I very good with maths but I do have a theory. Setp 1 is the lowest I, or the game, can go, and when I finally place the piece, the game is forced to round up or down, offsetting the piece one direction or the other. Maybe if we had smaller increments, the game would not have to offset as much, if at all ?
But, having said the above, I have learned not to be so picky and not lose sleep over gaps and offsets since they are just part of the game. That, and I use copious amounts of "trim" pieces to hide them.

Google Translate works wonders.

I just reached 800 but I shall consider myself a scrub until I hit 1000.

You are indeed chasing ghost ore. If you really want to rid yourself of it, fill the hole with stone, and the ore should reappear. Mine it out again which will yield a few more pieces. Wash-rinse-repeat until the signal is gone. With a signal that weak it is not picking up any additional deposit.
-
Ores in the game can be tricky. Are you also watching the needle to ascertain the range of the deposit ? And yes, it is very easy to go "off beam" too. The thing is, you are looking for a deposit in three dimensions. You many be close to it on say, X axis, but still be off on the Y and Z axis, so the detector is not misleading you. Another thing, you can mine out a deposit, with no visible ore left but still get a hit on the detector. If the ore is rare enough, or you just have time to waste, you can refill the hole with stone and some of the ore will reappear which you can mine. Then you can use the detector to see if you got it all. Red51 explained that, the way the ore is currently, it is almost impossible to get it all on the first go.

I am not a vegetarian but I play one in Rising World. Just start a good sized garden and you will never need meat again. In fact, the only meat I eat is from the wild boars that often take issue with my trespassing. And then I usually end up burning it, LOL. So, should crop blight of some sort come into the game, I still have all of those critters to eat.

with the size command - smallest possible size is 0.01 0.01 0.01
Thank you !

Very nice. How did you get such small sizes ?
-
Right. Red51 explained a while back that that was all it was. It is still fun to find them, though.

It is quite easy to see shapes in the stone patterns. I often see faces, creatures, even geometric patterns. I understand these are simply a by-product of the textures and how they are applied but they are still quite interesting.

Heh heh, very nice. Give the red flannel shirt chap some leathers and a nice battleaxe and he would make a decent Ragnar Lothbrok, my favorite viking. Well, next to Floki of course.

Thankyou

Final version of my windmill. I redid the tower to make it sturdier looking and added more vanes. It stands approx. 20 blocks high and has about a 4x4 footprint. The blueprint contains 142 constructions.

This is my 38 pounder naval gun. I actually made this model quite some time ago but the original had a ridiculous 1945 constructions in the blueprint due to having to make cylinders the hard way. If you got anywhere near it, your frames would plummet into the single digits. It was a mess, so I never uploaded it. I replaced all of those laggy things with logs and got it down to a svelte 74 constructions and it causes no lag whatsoever. Great for all of your naval (ore even navel) battles. There is also a black circle in .png format which you can use on the muzzle to simulate the bore.

I have noticed that with some tools like the axe, sickle, and scythe, individual clicks will cause the tool to work faster than simply holding down the mouse button. It really helps when cutting a lot of trees or mowing a lot of grass.
