We've posted an important announcement regarding the current situation and the future of the game: Announcement
also I'm trying to kick JOHN312 but it won't let me he's using a mine exploit
You have admin commands. Type "kick" or "ban" in the console and it will tell you how to use them.
I don't know if you've had time to do it yet,but if you have made me an admin, would you mind emailing me a list of commands, my memory is terrible at times.thank you. firstname.lastname@example.org
server update time lol
I try. lol!
question: I have a reseller hosting account with Hostgator could I run a server from that? not for public use,but for myself and maybe one or two others to make YouTube videos
Depends on what kind of reseller hosting. I only remember them selling web hosting accounts. But if you have an application server account with them, you could possible host this game. As long as you have ssh or remote desktop access.
I use nfoservers.com. They have the best prices and service out of any other host I tried, and I tried most of the major hosters out there. With NFO you will want a Virtual Dedicated Server and they sell them for very affordable prices. This game doesn't take much more than 1 GB RAM so go from there. Hosting Windows, you will want 2 GB RAM minimum. You will also want to choose Windows server 2008 R2 (DO NOT CHOOSE 2012! it's buggy!) They let you choose OS's on the fly too, so if you don't like windows, you can flip over to linux if you want. You can also move servers to different locations in about 30 minutes.
sounds very pleasant.thanks again.
I assume to report a player go to your link in the "about me " of your profile?
started a thread. hope that's okay: thedeadlands.net/forums/viewforum.php?f=20
That is perfectly fine!
Wanted to say it in game....thanks for hosting and thanks for bug testing.
No problem. The dev team seems very active, nice, and determined, so I am sure these issues will get worked out soon.
Oh no worried at all. Like the game, seems as much as you, will gladly switch between testing and single player mode.
