Editting the stack sizes in definitions.db still work?

  • Found old documentation about getting into the definitions.db and editing the stack sizes for Items. I have changed multiple but they do not change stack sizes in the game when opening (single player/local).

    Does this still work?

  • Yes, you can still change the stack sizes in the definitions db ;) Which ones did you actually change?

Just keep in mind that stack sizes are stored as signed 16 bit value, i.e the highest possible value is 32,767

  • Thank you for the quick reply! Something that may make a difference, I am playing through Steam and am editing the db from the steam install. I am also playing local/solo mode. I went into the commons.jar file, down to definitions.db, then Items table, to the "stacksize" column and changed all resources to 999. I only see about 635 rows in this table. Some examples I've changed are baconraw, baconcooked, Hempfibers, sugarbeet, lettuce, chilipepper, watermelon, pumpkin etc. Set all to 999 stack size. Let me know if I am in the wrong table (I've looked at all tables but maybe there is a local db I should be editing?

  • Sorry for the late response! But it's seems you're playing the Java version? :wat: Otherwise the "commons.jar" file is not the correct one (it's a file from the Java version)... If you're playing the new version, the "definitions.db" file is located under "Data/StreamingAssets" ;)
