Mounting Horses Causes it to Rotate and Point North or South

After the 0.9 update, whenever I mount my horse, it rotates to either North or South. I'd like it to stay in the position it was when I got on it. Not sure how this got changed.

Thanks! As a note, it seems that the rotation is just 90 degrees, not necessarily pointing North or South. I was just always mounting when the horse was pointed East or West. red51
