Singleplayer create world stuck at 10%

  • Hi,


    I recently started playing Rising World again because of the previous/recent updates.
    However, I deleted my single player world and that started a new one. No problems so far...
    But then I wanted a flat world with no caves but with vegetation. So I again deleted my current 'new world' and tried to create a new.
    Since then I have not been able to create a new single player world. The loading screen keeps getting stuck at 10% and does not move further even if I leave the game running for a while and go afk.


    Have already tried disabling my antivirus temporarily, I even added the exceptions to the list and have since not received any errors in the errorlog (not created yet).

    Now, can I assume it has something to do with the line I placed in blue that my world isn't loading any further?

  • Sorry for the late response! It's a strange issue, eventually the world is corrupted. Please try this: Go into your game directory and delete the World inside the "Worlds" folder manually (if there are no other important worlds, you can alternatively just delete the whole "Worlds" folder). Try to create a new world then ;)

    No problem, I know you guys are busy with the game and other stuff and I can wait :)


    I have tried deleting the D:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\RisingWorld\Worlds folder completely and then creating a new world, as you suggested.
    I'm facing the same problem again however. In the debug console is still reads the SEVERE line after I click on create world.

    Don't know if I mentioned this already but I'm running the game as Admin aswell, besides the fact that the exceptions with my AVG & Avast are in place.
    Also tried disabling all antivirusses and firewalls before creating a new world but the loading screen still freezes at 10%.
    Well, it's not really a freeze since I can exit the screen by hitting the ESC key...
    Have also already tried uninstalling the game and making sure every trace of the game was removed from my pc before installing again.

  • Ow, I did forget to mention that I did receive an error in the errorlog yesterday but that was probably since I accidentally opened up 2 instances of your game after turning on the "run as admin" option.

  • Maybe try this: Rightclick on RW in Steam -> properties -> betas -> select "0.6.1_newest_java - 8u60". Steam should download a few new files then, and once it's ready, try to run it again.
    Or did the error from the errorlog only occurred once?

    I tried what you suggested but sadly, to no avail :s
    I ran into the same problem yet again but I found a work around it seems ^^


    It seems the singleplayer world cannot be created if I use the name New World but then lazy old me decided to try changing the world name before clicking create AND...
    Boom, new world loaded without any issues!
    Should've just done that from the start before contacting you guys... :s


    Still no idea what keeps causing the corruption on the name New World though but I can play again so I'm good :p
