Still need help with server: Binding the static IP

I think my internet provider includes an static IP, but my trouble is binding the IP to the server. I haven't tried putting the static IP in the server configuration file. I'll try that, but I feel that there is more that needs to be done!

Unless you have more than one IP, there is no need to bind the server to a specific one.
Even then, you'd only do that if you want it listening on that one interface only.
