Wood takes too long to remove

I think 12 seconds is too long to remove wooden blocks. Even loging trees is faster. E.g. when you build a floor like this and then realize that you want to use other blocks:

Ok, nvm it takes way less time to remove the blocks with the pickaxe. That is kinda ... unexpected though
