Name change

We need to be able to choose our user names or at least pick a different one if we join a muiltplayer server. I really need to change my name because it's my real name and I don't want that out to the general public.

I agree, i didn't know when i signed up that my account username would end up being my avatars name. I used my RL name, and that makes me very uncomfortable.

You can ask the developer to change the name, if there is an important reason. It's not possible to change it every day, afaik it's related with the steam account name.
