Hi, me and my friend were playing rising world on my computer, and we loved it. However, he had to go back home, and now I want to put that specific world up on a dedicated server. Is it possible to take the world from my client and put it in the server? And if so, could you please walk me through the process?

Yes, that's possible
You find the world in the "Worlds" folder in your game directory, just copy it to the "Worlds" folder in your server directory (if it does not exist, create it). Now you have to change the world name in your server.properties file (make sure the server is not running while modifying the properties file), just change server_world_name to the name of your world (i.e. if your world is called "My World", put "My World" [without quot. marks] there). Now save the file, and start the server. -
