Do you mean WHILE you are using the console or AFTER having used and closed it?

The first is how it is expected to work, the second is not, I believe.

Knowing your operating system, system details and the contents of error log (if any) would help the developers to diagnose the problem.

if I may add to what Miwarre asked, what are you typing exactly in the console? are you trying to do something specific in it?
