Steam power era smelter & fabric machine

The next update will be available on Wednesday, December 18, in the early evening (GMT+1).

This update will not yet replace the Java version, instead it is the actual content update. We'll provide more information about the transition together with the update.
  • Hi!

Suggestions for the beginnings of the industrial era:

    - Steam machine (for power):
    - add coal
    - add water
    - ligth
    - get movement that can be then attached to the two other ideas below

    - smelter:
    - just drop one particular ore (or a couple if there are mixes later)
    - add coal
    - force air (powered by seam machine above
    - make tray and put tray
    - get ingots
    - as long as there are ores (you could be adding as it goes down), coal and forced air, smelting happens. put a tray and open lever to get the melted metal into it so it becomes ingots.
    - must be difficult to start (as real big smelting things are: lots of coal, lots of forced air) but once going it is efficient: this will mean it is not worth for small batches of smelting, but very efficient time wise for large batches.

    - fabric machine:
    - sort of the same, just drop thread (made with a similar machine?)
    - select fabric type perhaps
    - attach to steam machine for power
    - get fabrics

    Cheers,
    Marcos
