is there a way to place a "mirrored" verseion of a blueprint?

This update will not yet replace the Java version, instead it is the actual content update. We'll provide more information about the transition together with the update.

unfortunately not at this time
If the blurprint only contains construction elements (i.e. no blocks of any shape) then you can rotate it but fully mirroring is unfortunately not possible

The construction system has not been reworked yet fully, currently blocks can only be rotated in 90 degree increments. That also includes blueprints containing blocks.
