The next update will be available on Wednesday, December 18, in the early evening (GMT+1).

This update will not yet replace the Java version, instead it is the actual content update. We'll provide more information about the transition together with the update.

  • Thinner Building Materials

    If there was a way to simply get windows to play nice with plank walls, I would be happy. I tried very hard not to use blocks in my new game but it's basically impossible unless you want to live in a windowless shack. I came here to say that I'm in full support of thinner building materials. :D

  • Several Questions on Starting a Server

    Good evening, all! I'm here tonight seeking advice on opening up a semi-private Rising World server for people who watch my videos and care to join in. I'm looking to keep it cheap, simple and secure.


    -Cheap-


    I've selected GTX Gaming as my server host. They're charging just over $7.00/month and out of the two options I found, they seem like the logical choice.


    -Simple-


    The idea is to keep the game pretty vanilla. I would be lying though if I said I wasn't curious about the types of modifications servers can have... For example one server I played on had "teleport tunnels." Basically you would walk though a doorway and get teleported to a new area. How difficult could that be to add?


    Also, when it comes to cheating, how difficult is it to turn off things like flying and use of the command window?


    -Secure-


    Security comes in the form of a whitelist. (This is possible to do, right?) I'll be handpicking people to play on this server. If something does go wrong, it'll be due to a select person or group of persons, rather than randos that find me on the server list. Any tips on security would be appreciated.


    Thanks for your help everyone! I haven't bought anything yet and if I find out that running a server is way over my head I may just not do it at all. I'm guessing it's no big deal if you've ever hosted another server before. I've put up a few vanilla Minecraft servers in my day, so I'm comfortable with that level of difficulty. :)

  • Rising World - The Beach "Let's Play"

    Hello again, Rising World community! It's been too long... After making ~30 Rising World videos, I took a break to await some more updates. I'm proud to bring another Rising World Let's Play to my channel today that has a strong focus on the new water update, as well as building and farming.


    I posted the first episode this morning and the response has been incredible. This community has been very welcoming and I am excited to rejoin you all once again. This time around I'm really hoping to make a bigger difference in the future of Rising World by offering my suggestions and guidance.


    Since creating this initial forum post, I've managed to do a good handful of episodes. I decided to reorganize things a little bit to make the series easier to follow if you're watching here from the forums. From now on, in addition to new episodes being posted as a reply to this thread, I will also be putting them here in the original post, featuring the latest video first. Under the "Spoiler" tag, you'll find all the other episodes in chronological order. :D

  • Primitive storage containers

    I can confirm that I am indeed very interested in doing another (albeit small) Let's Play on Rising World. ;) I only say small because it's a lot more fun for me to do coverage of the game inbetween big updates while I sprinkle in other games to my channel lineup.


    I think Weem would also revisit it. He's big into Ark at the moment.
