Guns will definitely come, however, no modern rifles like snipers and machine guns, I am afraid.

I don't think that it necessarily must be bolder.
The bottom part of the small "b" looks too 'handwritten-like' for me though, the "a" seems fine for me. -

Hopefully in the future Areaprotect would be part of the game.
skipping the whole install process and making people aware of the need for such a feature when making their world accessible for multiplayer gameplay.Cause just like in real life vandalism will happen anywhere where people know they wont get punished for their destructive actions.

Ok so I rented a server, gave myself admin rights the way your guide said to BUT when I try to give myself something it says I do not have the necessary permission. Any thoughts?

If you have a compass, you need to put it into one of the "equipment" slots in your inventory, then you can equip it by pressing [K].
Pumpkins can be used to craft a halloween lantern on the workbench.it seems when I select creative I do not get any more items than in survival?
Yeah, that is (unfortunately) normal. You can use console commands though to cheat for items, see this list for most of them. -
It is definitely more like Minecraft, rather than like The Long Dark.
The Long Dark appeared to me like a 'hardcore' survival game, I was a bit annoyed actually, that you are permanently put under such pressure to survive Don't know what kind of exploration game I wanted instead
Rising World requires you to eat food from time to time and there are hostile animals, as A_Uchiha said. But it is not hard to survive, since you find plenty of food and animals are quiet strong, but not impossible to kill.
Minecraft on the other hand is more about building; same applies for Rising World as for now.
There surely will be more survival apects in the game later, but for now, I think I can not recommend the game for you, if you are looking for a similiar game like The Long Dark -

Unfortunately, there is no such like a manual at the moment, but a wiki will come later. Bears don't leave any items right now, btw.
