After a few hiccups I finally figured out how to buy the planks. Had to come back here to realize I need lumber to buy the planks. @Miwarre Might I ask if you can add a currency value of what item we would need in our inventory to purchase the said plank, beam etc..? Example: [Currency] [Value] [Purchase] The currency would be the type that one would have for the purchase. The Value would be the cost of trade value 1-64. Lastly Purchase is the button we would press which you already have. It would account for what material we would need as for price, how much and now I feel like I'm blabbering. Can you add something like that to the GUI please?

What operating system do you use exactly? If you use Windows, try to repair vcredist in your _CommonRedist folder (2013 and 2015).

@Topic: I can't open my game. i've searched a lot in the internet and found some people with the same problem, but tried to solve and nothing changed, please i love the game, have played it for a long time and now i'm excited to see the new update, but i can't
(i've already tried to re-install the java, disable the firewall and anti-virús, and "repair" the vcredist in C:\Steam\steamapps\common\RisingWorld\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2013", nothing changed)
You're not alone and I'm thinking it has something to do with the new Framework. Maybe it's something else entirely let's wait and see if a fix comes out within these next couple days. Otherwise this will be one game I'll delete from my library and never look back.

Glad to hear so many of you are able to play the new update.Please share some screenshots of the new update because I'm stuck in Alpha 0.5.8.1 because the game won't launch. I'm thinking red may have blocked me from the game.

So the update is finally here, I wake up make some coffee turn my computer on put my keyboard in my lap press play and nothing happens. Well not exactly nothing. In steam it shows the game as it is launching then quickly goes to sync and I'm left wondering what just happened? My graphics driver I just updated the other day, Java is 8 Version 112 both in JDK & SE. So I deleted both versions of 8U-111 and the 8U-102 Patch File for other games. Still nothing there's no crash log which confuses me. I've gone on to read other complaints where @red51 says to delete the game and reinstall it. Tried that route still no crash logs or any log files for that matter. The only way I can play this game is by downgrading to the previous Beta 0.5.8.1 and I launch succesfully, get to the main screen create a new world and yeah I can play the game. So I go back to steam opt out of the beta and relaunch with the new version and I'm back to square one? Does anyone have a clue why this is happening?
Tried launching from the.jar executable and this pop up:

at steamloader.SteamLoader.main(SteamLoader.java:27)...Again no crash log is generated because I can't even get to the launch screen. I give up! I don't have a clue what's going on here and it's really aggravating me almost to the point where I'm wondering if a black or whitelist was inadvertently created by mistake. If I can play Fallout 4 and ARK: Survival Evolved side by side even with my graphics card screaming for me to close one or the other there should be no reason what so ever errr. Let me stop there, If anyone has a fix please help. As I said everything is updated and I even deleted a Java Patch file I needed for some other games.

Fine with me. I wouldn't have been able to squeeze in Rising World tonight, yet tomorrow I can have fun doing testing after 6 pm EST onward. I guess you guys can be the guinea pigs while I play the actual game bug free

Now @red51 got me curious about the "Live" part. Wonder if he has a Livestream in mind for tomorrow on YouTube? That would be interesting to watch supposing it's in English or has subtitles in English that is. Either way Season 3 is depending on this latest update and what it might bring to the game mechanics. We've seen world slices before and I'm trying to avoid that this time around. Which means Season 3 will be locked in this specific update through use of Beta under Steam/Rising World-Properties/BETAS . Oh well, hope this update is a good one because locking in on a specific update for a season duration means little to no new content unless a world corruption fix has been applied. Just trying to cover all my bases so history doesn't repeat.

Anyone get any game updates yet today? It's 12:10 PM Eastern Standard Time so there's plenty of time left for today. Only asking because due to Time Zone Variances other regions would receive the update before others and I'm interested in what's new.

There are clues scattered around this forum here as to what is coming but essentially yes, some bandits are planned as well as other NPCs. Some are friendly and helpful while others are hostile. The NPCs are dependant on the new player models since they will be customizable.
Dungeons are supposed to have some kinds of enemies which is why time was spent recently to fix the animal AI. Pigs no longer fly but hell hasn't frozen over yet. When we get real lava down there then maybe we can make that happen. I've already made a swimming pool in hell. Unfortunately the lava is just a layer guaranteed to kill you instead of an actual liquid block like the water. Would be nice to have ice or obsidean in hell.
I havent tried flares yet in water but they are perfect for spelunking when you run across one of those massive pits where you cannot see the bottom. Drop one down and you will see exactly how far down the bottom is. I hope sulfur makes its way to the surface spawning. Player models are customizable with craftable clothing and armor. I think we are going to get a mining hat as well (with a lamp).

The dungeons update should be next. The last update did some prep work (behind the scenes presumably) in addition to bringing the tnt and flare. The player models have been in development for some time now and are supposed to come after the dungeons. I hope we will get some previews of the player models soon. Lately Red51 has been offline for days at a time from what I can tell so he must be really deep into the code right now so I imagine the dungeons are so close. There is probably no point in revealing any more dungeon previews than what was already given a few months back.
The anticipation is very real right now!
The dungeons has got me curious though for example are we going to see bandits or some type of hostile entity? I don't know about you or anyone else but I wouldn't mind a group of bandits to come raid my towns once in awhile just for the thrill & excitement of having something to actually fight. Yeah you could build your home in a savannah and fight all the lions, tigers and whatever else tries to maul you but they don't have any special loot tables which leaves it kind of meah
about the whole idea of building there. The tnt can come in handy for clearing out large plots of land or perhaps you just want to blow a mountain up?
yeah I just said that lol. I like the flares though it doesn't quite help clear up the visibility under water much. Perhaps these are things which can be added onto eventually? I don't know maybe my expectations are set a bit too high and too early for what @red51 has up his sleeve. Really wish he had a team of developers working with him, maybe @Chrisx84 & @SilverSatin can work with Red?? That would be interesting
Oh well back to YouTube for me I got some cracked ribs that need to finish healing up. (In short I got very, very sick and spent a few days in the hospital and wanted to see if anything new came to the game yet.)

Haven't played the game in a while myself but I have checked out these past couple updates, great job. Only thing that's got my curiousity is wondering what's coming next? @red51 can you please give us a few spoilers on what you got planned going on behind the scenes? Perhaps a Livestream on Twitch? I really did enjoy the game till my world got hit with the terrain bug following a "PC Refresh" and reinstalling it. Wasn't to thrilled about that but I made blueprints of all those projects to restart the world again later on. I guess I'm waiting for some kind of big update that will give us the opportunity to customize our avatars or wear, create or build custom armors. Might you have something like this in the works? It would be great to know what kind of ideas you got bouncing around in your head

EN: The previous update changed the format of many textures. In most cases we use DDS Textures now. Due to this change, all old texturepacks are no longer compatible with the game, and need to be converted. Below you find information about all important game folders that contain DDS Textures, together with information about the used compression, and texturedimension (Note: In some cases there are two versions of a texture, a high and low resolution version).
There are several tools out there that can be used to create DDS Textures, for example the Nvidia Photoshop Plugin
Note: There will be more changes in the future, as long as the game is in alpha. It's been a while since I uploaded and I wanted to explain why. This series has come to a screeching halt because of the terrain bug. I have done what I can to fix the world at best and I'm working on a way to share a world download with you. More so ever in the Blueprint section you should see a new tab popping up called Arcane's Blueprints.
Hope you all enjoy these because I'm not entirely sure if I'm going to start a new world yet. Many of you are already familiar with the terrain bug, well this took quite a blow to my confidence in the game.
