have you asked the server owner about it?

Because you would spawn in the middle of the ocean
Like for real in the middle: 0,0 is the farthest away point from four islands in that region.
obviously (or i thought obviously), if the player spawn was there, so would the starter island...

Did not know the actual pronouns to use when hitting it but it was black and had horns. I did not remember seeing an udder though I was not sexing the cattle at that time.
the cows also have horns but i don't think there's a solid black cow model actually, so that does shed some light on the situation. odd.

hmm.. ok well i hit a bull with a hammer on my server and it just ran away so I thought it was a setting.
are you sure it was actually a bull? cows run away, so maybe you were mistaken.

i believe red was interested in making a carvable item block, but it's one of those 'post game engine switch on store page' things. along with that was the plan to import objects, so you could sculpt something in another program and bring in your own custom shape.

Hehe, it could be considered a minor easter egg
Back then when we were working on the demo, we've created the swarm of flies. Actually they were even in the demo world (a bit behind the starter cabin). We have some future plans to spawn them naturally in the world (either spawn them randomly, or at some points of interest [e.g. buried chests], or near dead bodies etc), but until then, we decided to spawn them at 0 0 (considering this is always in the middle of the ocean, so likely they shouldn't interfere with any buildings etc)
somewhat related question, is there a reason why the player doesn't spawn at 0,0, red? it seems logical to me that the center of the world would be the main spawn and i've always wondered about that. i think in ark the reason was that 0,0 sometimes got a little... weird?

DAMN that must have taken a while! such detail!
-
you can use console command 'togglewater' to disable water temporarily so you can see through it for building better.
-
oh that's weird. i thought from the title maybe it was just a weirdly pollen-dense spot or ash particles from future volcanic region, but nope that's straight up bugs.

wow this is GREAT!!!!! Thank you soooooo much for sharing !!!!
thankyou and you're welcome! it's nice to see something i made make people happy
Wirklich eine fantastische Arbeit
Habe es mir aber auch nicht nehmen lassen, sie weiter zu züchten.
Waren mir ein wenig zu blass um die Nase.
oh wow! my plan had been to add a whole extra layer of blocks so i could get specific patterns, but just painting some of the main body looks better than i thought it would!

*facepalm*
Actually, that *IS* exactly what I was asking for. Also I'm stupid for assuming without testing.
ah, i thought you meant you were sleeping in like, a building sort of tent around a bed, not an actual tent item XD i wouldn't say you're stupid for assuming tents and beds worked the same, since they do in most games.
-
well, it's not exactly what you're asking for, but from my understanding, the compass only points towards proper beds, not tents. so you could use tents out in the wilderness to sleep without messing up your compass.

oh cute! thank for sharing!
the night image link doesn't work tho... maybe it would be better to upload images directly here?

i play a mix of both so i actually don't want blueprints to be expensive XD but i do get what you mean. i don't mind blueprinting to copy paste, but i certainly would like to be able to snap and mirror those blueprints.
although, there WAS a recent change to how the blueprint works that makes it vanish when you use it- even in creative. i did most of my building before that change and it's not one i'm fond of. i also think that it would be very nice if making a blueprint automatically added it to your inventory, instead of requiring that you go to a bench to get it... perhaps things like that would make it more useful for you as well?

Wow! Very well done!
thankyou!

you can somewhat modify the terrain with rakes and sledgehammers tho, they sort of smooth it out.
-
only in creative mode at the moment.

Okay I think I realize what I have done wrong. I was not in the newest version. So now I'm going to go into the beta? I believe that's where I'll find all the settings that you have listed. Thank you again this is a massive help.
oh yes my apologies, i should have asked which version you were referring to. you are most welcome!

the basic stone tool is the slowest, if you craft a better one like a steel pick or a drill, it goes MUCH faster. there is however also a gameplay setting in misc that enables 'instant digging' (under 'singleplayer' in misc settings) which you can use if you don't want to just work your way up manually.
also this doesn't address this concern specifically, but if you're looking for guides might i recommend my own? https://steamcommunity.com/sha…iledetails/?id=3141655353

hey it's not spam if it's legitimate, full thoughts and concerns and you're not just repeating the same ones over and over!
personally tho, i actually do use blueprints for exactly what you described (i make a blueprint of a fence post and some railings, then just copy and paste it to make the rest of the pen or whatever it is), the only problem is that blueprints don't snap, but i haven't had issues with that yet since i can get everything close enough.
