    I was being very careful with the id number and they are unruly long with 3 or 4 dashes in them and it didn't work. others tried too. On more then 1 thing. and the if you own it you can move it thing would be a good idea for object protection.

    can you update now with the new updated plugin, and ill come to your server and test it ?

    when you enter the id look out for - sometimes the id looks like -1131313 or 5845-456 so you need to also add the - if you don't it will say you don't own that object because its looking inside the database for a object that is not there oO for moving items maybe it will be better that if you own it you don't have to un protect it after all oO

    Could we get an option to turn off and on chat notification for the plugin for each individual player? Meaning each player can turn the notifications off and on for themselves.

    the plan is to remove all info out of the chat, once that's done the player will have the option to turn on and off the onscreen info

    I am using chest protection door protection and furnace protection. How does this affect those objects? does it put another lock on them? and I take it that it covers all crafting stations too?

    this plugin covers every object that can be picked back up, it does not work with objects that cannot be picked back up,
    this means it can replace
    chestprotection
    doorprotection


    it will also protect all crafting stations and you can stop users using them or steeling them it will protect everything and give you an option to lock or unlock the object,


    but note: you should run this script or the others, not both, the only other script you need to run is the FurnaceProtection plugin because you cannot pick up Furnaces

    This plugin protects any Object that can be removed, after this plugin is installed, you can also lock or unlock Objects you own, this means you can lock users out of a Object to stop them using them like locking doors or chests

    When placing a new Object they are locked by default
    To unlock your Object click on it then type /op unlock
    To lock your Object click on and then type /op lock
    to add users to your Object click on it then type /op add username Example /op add yahgiggle
    to remove users from your object click on it then type /op remove username Example /op remove yahgiggle
    To unprotect your Object click on it then type /op unprotect the object will now be removed from your protection list


    To see a list of all objects type /op list Note: the list can get very big


    As always admins can remove any Object and should have full rights


    As i have no one to help me test my code there could be some bugs, please report anything found and ill do my best to fix them ASAP

    I can live with this but did you know that to be able to pick up a chest that you own you have to unprotect it first? I am not Shure about admins but I know regular players are this way. Just had an incident where this was tested tonight.

    I am now getting major fall through problems with the new server update. The target seems to be ok but my player is rendering before the land underneath it does and fall through happens.


    Seems it is a game wide problem affecting even the console teleport function.

    This has more to do with internet connection and speed of the users own computer, for a work around, make another portal area in the ground under the destination portal that zaps them back up to the destination, this will give the computer time to load that area into memory and once loaded they will stop falling through.

    i have also added /cp unprotect id pincode so now you can unprotect your chests


    if you have a chest with id 264 to unprotect that chest type in chat /cp unprotect 264 1234


    1234 is the default pincode

    yes I do, but I was thinking about being able to replenish the chests in the wild so they may be picked up later by newbies but I can live without that, though it would be nice to have the option. It is nice to not have to make a chest because you found 1 while finding your claim. It is like spawning plants and animals after the horde has striped the land. :) I really do like this plugin and have experienced it on other servers . I like it's options and would like to use this but this 1 problem with the chests and a survival player not being able to pick up a chest in the wild or a player not being able to pick an old chest up on his own claim is preventing me from using this. I also use your area protection program FYI.

    The chests are accessible but can not be removed by a regular player. Admins can do it fine it is the regular player I am concerned about.


    and since you are looking into it, it would be nice for the admins to have a way to set down unowned chests for new players to discover and be able to raid and pick up or a way to relinquish ownership after setting a chests down. Think of it like gifting the chest without being there. In this way we could replenish the chests raided and taken by the new players.

    ok ill look into this, but you do know if you lay a chest down, it can be unlocked and any player can then take stuff from it. /cp unlock id 1234

    Well I just tried your chest protection out and as before, when using the plugin on an existing server, only the admins can remove any of the chests that were set before the plugin was installed. No regular player may remove any chest that was placed before the plugin was installed. On old servers with hundreds of claims, this is unmanageable for the admins to remove every chest so every player may replace the chests so they may lock them. It also makes picking up chests in the ruined huts and the pyramids impossible. This plugin, in my opinion, is only good for new servers or small servers that have very few chests placed. I tested this out on my server and had to remove it because of this fact.


    to stress the point let's do some math.


    100 players with 10 chests each make 1000 chests to replace.

    oO thats strange as all chests that have not been added to the chest protection plugin should be unprotected oO ill look into why this seems to be not the case.
