i have a user with a space in his name and it says cant find player is there something i have to put around the name to find the user?

you can use a - or a _ to replace the space in the name and things will work proper at that time
you can have them change there name in the loby of there game to remove the space if you wish, this usualy fixes things. Spaces in player names cause problems -
You can use Steam-Id as well.
