Hi,
Working with new build. Can't remove all. Press [F7] Remove then [5] All. Select area as shown in attachment. Press delete nothing happens. Does work with bricks but doesn't remove the earth from the world.

Earth or better terrain doesn't get deleted that way.
You need to use the terraforming tool. I think its F5
