I can't get the game to start.

    I bought this game the other day and can't get the launcher to load... Here's my error file. Please help me determine the problem, as I want to play soo bad! :D

    Thanks for the further information! The problem is related to your driver version, the old drivers for integrated Intel cards have bugs concerning OpenGL. Intel already fixed it in later versions. Try if you can use the default Intel drivers (from the Intel homepage), the latest version is 15.xx
    If that does not work, you have to use specific drivers from your Laptop manufacturer, unfortunately they don't always keep their drivers up to date.

    This is a weird question? But would it be best to just buy a new Graphics Card? I've looked around and no driver update will work on my system.

    Well, die Intel HD 4000 is not a gaming card at all, but you can play the game on it with moderate frames when you disable most graphic effects. When it comes to gaming, it's always recommendable to have a dedicated graphics card, but if you really want to buy one, make sure to watch benchmarks of it before doing it ;) There are many "dedicated" low budget cards out there that are even worse than the Intel HD.


    Why does no driver update work? Did you try the Intel version? It will eventually say that it does not work, but in that case you need to download the driver from your laptop manufacturer :)

    are you updating through Intel or windows?............for my Sony vaio laptop windows "update utility is crap" at best.i had to go into my bios and change something to trick my pc into letting me delete the Intel drivers,forcing my laptop to use my radeon........also if your not using the "stock monitor" problems can occur.if you need further assistance,don't hesitate to ask.....also is this your laptop? http://www.pcworld.com/product…3336g75mass-notebook.html

    What really urks my Berk is I play the Forest and Minecraft on my laptop all the time. So I'm not understanding why this game will not work. I try to update it via Intel download and windows update but neither seem to get the driver to date. I have also tried to update driver with Acers driver update but when I try it says my system doesn't meet minimum requirements. I have also run Skyrim on this PC as well.

    As mentioned, the old Intel drivers have pretty bad OpenGL support. Intel has much better DirectX support, so you probably won't have such problems with a DirectX game. Even Minecraft does not make much problems since it only uses "oldschool" OpenGL.
    Intel already fixed those problems, but laptop manufacturers don't keep up to date with their drivers (especially since the Intel HD is not a gaming card, and for office purposes the driver version does not matter very much^^).


    Try to download and install the original Intel drivers from the Intel homepage. If they don't work, look for the latest drivers on the Acer page.
