Is Rising World really the only game of its sub kind?

The next update will be available on Wednesday, December 18, in the early evening (GMT+1).

This update will not yet replace the Java version, instead it is the actual content update. We'll provide more information about the transition together with the update.
  • Is Rising World really the only game of its sub kind?

It is a mystery to me, but I dont know any game which is like Rising World:

A game like Minecraft but completely different in its own way, you understand?

A voxel based sandbox building game, with voxel mining of stone, soil and ores, many tools and a landscape with realsitic approach. I dont know another game with this approach. There are more sandbox games but they are always more like Minecraft with blocks.

The mining is very good, you really feel like digging into the ground. I like how easy it is to play it and I like the new radial menues, which have many functions but very well presented.

    Why I like Rising World?

Because of its realism approach, the nice building mechanics, the environment, which gets better and better with every single new additional plant and animal for variety, and the feel of it. In the Java version I love all the things to use like horses, all the stuff to craft, the farming mechanics, the weapons, the map, the dungeons and the random buildings everywhere to explore and the atmosphere of the landscape, which is on another level with the Unity version! This is a big step forward, which I honestly not expect as the announcement was made for a new engine.

This is the reason why Rising World is so important for me. It has so much potential if it will get the content of the Java version, which was for me basically a nearly completed game. *

Certainly I have nothing against additional content ;)

    One question:

Are the developers really very young?

I always thought that it was made by experienced game developer veterans, at least 40 years old, this was my mental image, because the game was always good to play, not many bugs, good handling, simple and intuitive to start playing and always stands out from other games.

Keep on going! The game is on a good way! I hope you get the appropriate recognation on steam and I really hope it will not get in line with other Indie games on steam, which are often not nearly as high quality like Rising World with many bugs and no fun to play!

*(Except some stuff like the direct attacking animals without a threatening gesture if you are too close and the a little bit unvaried graslands, which could be vary in density, lenght and different gras types, also some small wheat and oter plant groupes and of course more extensive survival mechanics and more detailed ponds with reed, frogs, a brown-green watercolor and some waterlilies, also some insects like dragonflies and butterflies )
