As most of you have noticed, I have not been on the forums as much and stated I had stopped developing plugins. October of last year I suffered a heart attack; times were rough, so I sold all of my code base, including all of my past plugin source and (current at the time) projects I was working on. I also worked on a few plugins for others, and I would like to say thank you to them, as every little bit helped. I would also like to call out red51 and yahgiggle and say thank you for all your help.
That said, I also feel I owe some of you an apology for deserting plugins you all liked. This brings me to this point: I have ADHD, and for me to organize these large-scale projects is very difficult. I always find myself coding one piece of logic, getting sidetracked, and never completing anything. So in January of this year, a good friend gave me an idea: use AI to keep me on track, walk through what I'm working on, and get my ideas down.
So in February, I started work on my new plugin system, Rising Kingdoms. It's still in an early-ish build phase, but it is coming along nicely and will have a lot of features. I'm at a stage now that I feel I can share what I'm working on. Rising Kingdoms framework. In the end players can host their own server register with my site and be added to the cluster. 1 small download will keep the entire system updated and synced to all other servers. I am hoping to have the test cluster ready for testing by end of September.
In a nutshell, the system allows a player to use their character across all server in the cluster. this includes things from plugins designed for Rising Kingdoms all the way to mounts and vehicles, seamlessly synced across all server in the cluster. the link below include alot of information plan status, what's working and what's not, bug/fix's a lot of things explained as well as a lot of information for those who in the future want to develop plugins for the framework. feel free to leave comments, questions and ideas.
