Crashing

  • I will start it up but it wont go to the main menu it will open have a black screen for about 2 seconds and then just quit (need help red) ?( = :?:


    1. I open the game
    2. The game starts with a windowed white screen
    3. Game Screen turns black and in the top by the name it says " (Not Responding) "
    4. Crashes
    5. Throws keyboard at monitor

  • Do you know how to get to that file?
    I searched for the hs_ one and nothing came up but i have forgotten how to get to my steam file
    (Huh?)

  • Go to your steam library, right click on Rising World, select Properties, then go to the tab "Local files" and select "Browse local files". This should open your Rising World folder ;)

  • It's really a spooky error I've never seen before. Can't say if it is somehow related to your soundcard, but I don't think so. It appears that the library resonsible for audio can't just be loaded. So I guess reinstalling the game could only solve this =/

  • I just use a basic speaker, which was not plugged on while I installed it both times so I dot know if that has something to do with it

    Unfortunately it's getting too late here, so no time for me to play unfortunately :D But I'm pleased that your game works now!
    Let us (we're 3 ppl on the project^^) know if any other problems occur ;)


    Animals don't drop loot currently by the way, this will come with a later update^^

    just found this post with the issue that the game is not running because of a sound bug.
    On my wifes rig the speaker was not attached, when she starts the game the game ends with the same error msg.
    We were able to solv the problem as we pluged in the speakers.
    Sounds funny, but in my case it was the solution.
