Since there is no map in the game and the compass kinda works but not that great I found out how to get around to other players places. The way to do it is go to their house or wherever they are building at and type in the tilde key. Then type in setspawn. This will show you coordinates of your location. Now say you want to return to their place but don't remember how to get there. Just type in goto and the coordinates from setspawn and you will go there instantly. This works so much better than trying to use the compass or trying to just remember the location.
