I cant open the game now tht its downloaded. it starts to download the two part initial launch pieces and when its finished it says it stopped working and will be closed. i uninstalled and reinstalled and the same thing. any help? or is this just a bug with the updates

Do you use the Steam or Standalone version? When you get the Windows message "Rising World stopped working", please have a look if there is a file called "hs_err_pid" in your game directory (steamversion: rightclick on rw in steam -> properties -> local files -> browse local files). If there is such a file, please open it with a texteditor, copy the content and post it on http://pastebin.com (and provide a link here)
