How do I go to hell?

I heard some taking about a "hell" biome? How can I access this?

be really bad, LOL

you just have to dig down far... I mean REALLY far.. it will take some time and pateince, but when you see the red blocks you've hit hell. Its not a Biome, its just a part of the world.
