Game crashing (corrupted map?) (UPDATED)

  • I've been playing Rising World for the last 6 days (Steam shows total play time 25 hours). Most of my time was working on a map in Creative Mode, constructing a small town. After about 20 hours of play time, now my game crashes when trying to load that map. From the main menu, I select Single Player, select my Solo City map and load. After the progress bar moves about 10%, the whole game shuts down, no error. I can load a different map and even start a new map with no problem. Normally I play Fullscreen, but I have also tried in not fullscreen.


    I really hope that this is not a corrupted map situation and/or there is no solution. Below is the most recent error log:

    The problem is, that you maybe used the "item" command in combination with an invalid item? You need to edit the world file (inside the gamefolder/Worlds) manually (e.g. with a program like navicat), go to the table "Inventory" and manually delete the slot "Inventory" for your player.
    Alternatively, you can zip your world and send it to support@jiw-games.net, then I can fix that for you ;)

  • Thank you for the quick reply, Red51. I was unable to resolve the issue myself as I am not familiar with the Navicat program so I zipped my world and emailed as instructed.

  • I was able to figure out how to use the Navicat program (I only have the 30 day trial version) and followed your instructions, Red51. I deleted the Inventory and was able to get back into the map! Thank you for your help! :thumbsup:
