command line won't open

I bought the game last Friday and I really like it! I have not been able to bring up the console box to type commands or chat. I have tried F12, ^, and '. Tried different keyboard layouts too. I am using a mac with OS X Mavericks. At first the game wouldn't open at all but after installing JDK it opened fine. Also not too big of a deal but fullscreen still crashes the game as of now.

For full screen, go to your native resolution and check the box. (They'll fix it in the future, it's still kinda wonky).
"Console box" through me for a moment- you mean "Command Box" or "Command Line". I used to use Macs, but I know f12 doesn't work anymore. Try the tithe key ("~") or the "`" key (backwards carat).

Thanks, but I have tried all of those things many times and still cannot bring up the command line. Can someone with experience playing this game through steam on a mac please reply?

Please try the keys next to the enter key (on the Mac keyboard)

Can you perhaps post me a screenshot of your keyboard layout (just google for it)? Then I can eventually show you which key(s) could open the console.
