I just downloaded the game yesterday, instead of an axe and pick all I have is a Stone Tool. I don't have most of the things I see in the new player videos to craft, only one crafting table. Maybe I'm confused but any help would be appreciated.

You no longer start with a pickaxe and axe, you only start with a stone axe now
But it can be used for digging and cutting down trees. Once you gathered some wood, you can craft a workbench in your crafting menu. After placing the workbench, it can be accessed by pressing F while looking at it (you should see a small hammer icon), it enables you to craft all further crafting stations (e.g. smelter, saw bench, block bench etc)
