Now love survival realism? How about flaming arrows and have the have to ability to burn wooden structures so they collapse. Horses with Riders firing them into certain structures can catch them alight and they collapse.. Now that is survival on the PVP scale 
Of course you can add wet pigskins to keep it from happening too fast if you are the defender

Yes, maybe you are right but if you are losing the long siege or the fire is really big and the wet pigskin does not work it is much tastier to eat Pork Cracklin's than whatever Elephant skin boils up to be. Maybe it just me but I have never eaten fried Elephant skin.
