Current Update, 0.9.3 fails to launch on Linux (Ubuntu 16.04.3LTS)

The next update will be available on Wednesday, December 18, in the early evening (GMT+1).

This update will not yet replace the Java version, instead it is the actual content update. We'll provide more information about the transition together with the update.
  • K just updated to the latest release, 0.9.3 and the Rising World Window opens, then closes almost immediately. I have restarted Steam client and have restart computer, all updates were applied earlier today (Ubuntu updates) without issue.


    If there are any logs I can provide, please let me know. Thank you.

    Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS 64-BIT
    i5-4690K
    16MB RAM


    NVidia Graphic Drives 384.130 (Latest drivers for my card)
    GTX 1050Ti SC


    Java Version - 1.8.0_171

    the only log i could get was when i clicked the "risingworld.jar" file directly and this is the output

  • Thanks for letting us know! We updated to the latest FMOD version with this update, so I guess there might be some compatibility issues on Linux... I'm sorry for the inconveniences, we'll check out what's going on there and fix the issue asap! :)
