Hi Mandy just to answer your question:

If you already own the game there is of course no need to buy it again.

You can still play your old worlds with the Java version but this version may only get limited support in future updates.

Rising world will have have two exe's the current Java version and the new Unity version which will have a separate beta branch in Steam.

I'm sure this is correct but Red51 will confirm this Im sure.

Iv had this a few times and as far as i know its just a connection issue (was you in a sever at the time?) but normally just quitting / reloading the game fixes it.

That's a great read and I do like the optional feature as "Jon" in the comments put in: that way it will be down to the player / server owner on how to play the game their way of liking.

Survival mode: survival with a progression as you learn new skills, grow stronger and more efficient;
Standard Mode: which is the current game;
Creative Mode: which at lest for me I just use for building techniques

Iv been playing Rising world for a very long time now and wondering in the new version will you be adding more in the way of character customization and attribute like Speed / Luck / Strength ect. and with the ability to increase these as we play? I don't expect them to be implanted with the first release but having these will make us feel that the game as a bit more substance to the survival element of the game.

Hope the port over to Unity is going smoothly (as it can) and lets hope we can get some sort of preview soon even a video diary would be nice

When i first saw the headline I almost started to panic " please don't tell me its not going to be updated anymore" and then i read that its being updated to the unity engine, thank god for that and then all these questions came rushing to me head ( all of which seemed to be answered here ) the only thing I would NOT like to see at all is modular building, the beauty of RW is the freedom of the way will get to build anything. Im guessing that all our old worlds including server's will not be compatible? not that I mind.

Wow you are very busy atm with 3 really good plugins that i can see becoming very interesting ( the cooking & chicken coop is more for me) As for player-protection for the coops wouldn't that be covered by area protection (if the player/server owner has it installed?)

At last someone is thinking of cooking in this great game (i know its on red's plans) there is so much that can be done with a plugin like this from just making a cooking pot to boil food in to adding ingredients to make a full stew (which can restore full health) but what about being able to get salt (need to boil first) from the sea to put on your fish n chips and tomato sauce (tomatoes in a blender) looking forward to see how this goes.

May be the other way to do blueprints is maybe the same way that the Forest do their blueprints, ie you place a image/ outline of the building or object first and then you have to get the materials to place onto that blueprint with the amount shown at the bottom of the screen, now i fully understand if its a massive building this could take a very long time but then again the feeling of putting the very last log/brick into it to finish it does feel great, and after all its not like we cant see what it's going to look like if you have downloaded it from the forum in the first place.

This will be a interesting topic to see what other think

Yesterday I jumped into the server that i'm currently playing on Rosaila (sharkbitefischer owner) and heard the new sound effects that you have done and WOW iv got to say I nearly crapped my pants when i first heard these dino sound effects it almost makes Rising world feel like a new gaming experience, great work what you are doing with this mod and I hope that you will continue to keep updating it as i feel this could be almost the second most add-on to the game ( first being pnb ) .

So I'm just wondering what are your future plains going forward to add into your mod if the game at this stage supports it

Just logged into my normal server and was just wondering about when all of a sudden about 40 npc's spawned in in one place they killed my horse , also I cant search or hide any of them only get the option to ;

This seems to have just happened after the update not sure if its server related or what, but i have posted on our discord

Also if you make the background of the image transparent ( with the right image ) it can look even better here's a very early build i did years ago ( wow almost 3 years ago ) with a garden gate and a indoors string curtain https://youtu.be/_dLCEGDhuZg just for example .

I have included 2 screen shots looking at a goat but with no name above it, and the second one which i have turned about 15 - 25 degrees but now
shows the name.

Im guessing its more the plugin that is causing the trouble??

Just a few things that may be a good idea to add to the map

1: The ability to move while looking at the map ( on and off mounts)
2: Auto add names to the map when you have discovered it (if the player wishes) ie Player names / area names, maybe an option so the player can select what they would like to been shown, I can see the down side of this if there are a lot of names being shown at once, but with options to show Areas / Player names / or nothing at all, maybe it may work?.
3: A manual search bar ( for looking up areas/player names) within the map
