Worlds can be moved with no problem. The "Worlds" Folder has just to be copied/moved into the Steam folder ".../Steam/Steam-Apps/commons/Rising World/". I'm preparing a thread containing a description on how to get a Steam key (for everybody who already purchased the game in the past), there I will also describe how to save the old worlds ![]()
Hope we get some time the next weeks to work on the wiki.

This post is addressed to everyone who already purchased the game before 3rd of December 2014 and wants a Steam Key instead
If you don't want a Steam Key, you have to do nothing. You can simply continue playing the game as usual. You're also able to download it from our homepage, and of course you will still receive all updates in the future.
If you want a Steam Key, you will lose access to the current version of the game. In other words: From that point on, you can only play the game via Steam.
-------------------------------------
To get a Steam key, you have to send us your username to: steam@jiw-games.net
It's sufficient to write something simple like: "I want a Steam key, my username is: XXXXXXXXXXXX". Also use a subject like: "Steam Key: USERNAME". We will send a reply as soon as possible (but not before the release on Steam) containing a Steam key then. If you don't want to receive your key via mail, please write us how we should send the key to you.If you don't get a response within one week, please send us another mail or contact us here in the forum (just for the case any mail gets lost).
Once you've received your key, you can activate the game in Steam. When starting the game in Steam for the first time, you will get a dialog which says you have to register for a new account (see screenshot 1 below). Simply click on "I already have an account" and use your old login (username and password). Then your account is finally linked to your Steam account, and the next time you start the game, you will be automatically logged in (so the dialog will not show up anymore).
If any problems occur, let us know!
Have fun with the Steam version!By the way, don't worry about your old worlds, you can simply copy the 'Worlds' folder from your old main game directory to ".../Steam/SteamApps/commons/Rising World/" and it should work!
Registration dialog, click on 'I already have an account' and enter your account details:

Excellent work to the folks on those buildings....WOW! Trying to build castle now....lol..nothing like that but going to try! "Red" congrats to the team for making thus far....steam is yet another giant leap forward...excellent work!!! Noticed the Win/Mac thing fixed on steam.
Thank you very much!
Indeed, Steam is a really important step. We're very excited for the release (which also brings a big update for the game), hopefully everything goes well

It says its for mac version, it also said that on steam... now i just went back into it and it says its only for windows..?
Oh, really? I have a look at it. But the game also comes for Mac
//Edit: We have corrected this. The Mac version should really be available on Wednesday, but if you're planning to buy the game, please have a look again if the Mac version is still available (just to make sure the Mac version will not be delayed by 1 or 2 days, like the Linux version).

Get ready for the Steam release of Rising World on 3rd of december 2014! You can already visit the preview store page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/324080
We have also prepared a small launch trailer (thanks @Quezax and @Daisy for some of the great buildings!), enjoy!

Oh then the Left click should do a better job usually

Yeah a dwarf statue would be pretty cool, unfortunately, we don't have such a model

The finished pyramide looks pretty impressive! Well done!

Well, in this case, I guess it's perhaps better if we do not implement something like that, just to not throw oil on the fire

-
Uff, da fragste aber was

Thanks
The new stuff also sounds cool! Approved!

Spooky... Vielleicht kriegen wir das noch bis zum Steam Release nächste Woche in den Griff, sofern die Tiere brav sind und nicht zu viele Mucken machen!

Wow, first of all, thanks for so many suggestions!

Better cross over in mixed stone/dirt areas: Yeah that's indeed a small problem currently. Not sure if we can fix it, since all our approaches had different downsides. One workaround would be to remove the problematic area with the pickaxe. Let's see if we find a better solution.
Rake: That's related to the fact that the rake was originally implemented to smooth out the terrain instead of leveling it. Technically there is the ability to restrict digging to a specific level (i.e. only blocks above this level will be removed), but we did not find yet a smart way to combine this feature with the existing tools.
Soon we will add the ability to "stake out" an area, which only allows you to remove ground inside this area (helpful for creating a nice excavation pit), but this does not really solve the problem you mentioned...Sledgehammer: Indeed, the sledgehammer generally does not behave as intended. We will fix it.
Wood grain: We can change it so that they are generally vertically oriented. An option to change it while placing would also be possible, but it's difficult to integrate it for blocks, since you don't see a texture preview when placing blocks (only this wireframe), and we don't like to change that.
Climbing: That a really complicated topic. But I agree that it is currently not the best solution that players can actually climb every mountain with little effort. We will work on it in the future!
Adjusting walkspeed depending on the steepness may be problematic, we tried it a long time ago, but resulted in a very strange walk behaviour. Difficult to explain. We will have a look at it again and let's see if we can tweak it.
Probably we change the climbing behaviour when we implement stuff like ropes etc.Roofing materials: Coming soon!

Wood blocks: We want to remove some of the old textures (especially some of the ornament tiles), and also want to finally add some textures for the black "N/A" textures^^ There will be definitely some wood textures among the new textures
Block tinting: Not sure about that. It sounds pretty cool, but for consistency, we should think about a general overhaul of the block system, splitting into color and pattern. This is a pretty big change and I think it's maybe already too late to do it.
Alternatively we can add some more white colored plaster textures with different patterns. In the future we want to implement the ability to paint blocks, so you can combine the white plaster textures with a specific color.Fires/Lights: Most of them are planned and coming soon^^
Seatings: Sounds good! We will do it (as a nice side effect, a throne could be helpful for @StarMeisters project
)Misc: More tables and dressers are in the work. Tapestries and flags are also coming (we want to combine them with the custom image feature), but still take some time until they're ready.

Definitely nice ideas!
But there is one factor we have to consider when it comes to clothes and armor: We are planning to fully rework the current playermodel, mainly to get the ability to implement a real clothing system (which enables you to individually exchange shirts, pants, footwear etc.). As soon as we have a new model, we can start working on different clothes and armors. And animals take an essential part in crafting them (fur cloaks, leather, wool). But also stuff like a bone armor is pretty cool! -
Google Translator ftw!
