Do you have to get to new chunks before the new animals will spawn? I wasn't able to find anyone in the preloaded ones, and sapling won't drop in them, too As soon as I moved to new chunks, I saw sheep and trees dropped saplings.

Are you running in full screen? Try to run it in windowed mode and load the world again. Are you using an Intel HD graphics card? Try updating the drivers.

Could it be because the customImages directory doesn't exist?
-
My buddy was hosting a server on the in-game option could that be a reason should he try the dedicated?
That could be the problem. His connection might not be 100% stable, and the connection might be dropped. -
You could alsojust disable server listing and make the port run on a totally random port. Chances that people can guess both the IP and port are slim.
-
Is that when you're connecting to a server, or does it kick you from a server with that message?
-
I think you can not, yet, but you can save your inventory with
setinventory -
The game is still in early access, so you'll see a lot of stuff not working yet.

How can a game even be at the Alpha stage if it won't even open.
Alpha = very early stage of development. You basically pay for getting early access to the game and help develop it (by providing feedback and suggestions). If the game won't start, that's just bad luck. Things might break in alphaHope you get it working.

Hmmm... Good question. It would make sense if it's made like that. Try removing yourself as admin and restart the server.

server_list_visible=false
server_password=yourpasswordGive the IP to your friends and tell them the password, and you'll be good to go

Thank you, I don't know who you are but I love you
Haha, I'm Dennis, CEO of a GSP called Prima Servers - been messing with Minecraft for a couple of years, and since both Rising World and Minecraft uses Java, they're pretty similar regarding starting the serversUPDATE on java start:
root@risingworld:/home/risingworldserver# java -Xmx1G -Xms32M -jar server.jar
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: server/Main : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0
Seems like an outdated version of Java. I don't know whether or not Java 1.6 is supported, but you can always install 1.7 using apt-get install openjdk-7-jre Seems like you did that though.Make sure you install "screen" apt-get install screen
Screen is not required if you're using the method I described. It's only required if you're actually going to take advantage of the features that Screen offers -

Yep, the x-coordinate is negative, that's why I couldn't find you I'll log on the server tomorrow and claim the area for you.
-
./linux_startscript.sh: line 46: screen: command not found
apt-get install screenIt's not necessary to use the startup script. You can simply just start the server with java -Xmx1G -Xms32M -jar server.jar. That would of course require you to have the terminal open all the time
-
None of our servers are 250 slots Must be a glitch.
Can you take a screenshot of your coordinates? Because I couldn't find you, no matter where I looked. I'm thinking that either x or y is negative (or both)
You are in the safe zone, so no need to move
-
Yeah, try connecting to the server
-
You're not bothering me, not at all
I thought you said you had found your base again? Is the base supposed to be at those coordinates?
-
Oh, balls! I forgot to write down the coordinates to my own house
Oh well.
Are you sure that are the coordinates? The only there is a giant hole in the ground... -
Haha, yeah, I'm kinda sure it changes everything
