A new update is now available, introducing seasons and more!
Latest hotfix: 0.8.0.1 (2024-12-20)

Well, it's something we all want so I'm curious if it'll be in the next update or if it'll be bug fixes instead. Maybe both? I'm a little bit off beat when it now comes to the next update with whatever it's releasing, just that we indeed shall have to take temperatures into account. Even how crops failing and such ruining our day...... I do hope fishing is a nice balance to that in that same update to crop failures. All those stuff in F3 probably a nice foundation for the things to come that you can see what Red51 has set in place to be set in motion :)

Also, I guess you'll have to learn Celsius by grabbing a thermometer to then use Google to translate between F & C :whistling:

I am hoping there's a way to change the temperature from celsius in the configurations later on. As of right now though there isn't. @PhartBlast ( Someone else loves the Tremors Movies ;) ) has an interesting concept, then again Concept is the original name of the game. In either case as you said @red51 does have a great foundation in place already. Not sure about the fishing and how it would work out. Will we see the fish swimming or will they be invisible like Minecraft used to be?

We never know but the subtle changes in temperature when entering water or different biomes or even going mining does bring to mind we will need to dress for the weather eventually. Then the next question comes to mind... How do you keep your house warm? Surely a single fireplace in the livingroom isn't going to heat the whole house not sure if I want to jamn a massive furnace in there just to keep warm. I sense seasons in the wind ;) ..

If you press F3 when in-game we have a couple things in there that caught my attention. One of which was "water nearby" which you can follow to find a water source near you, the other is temperature. As we go out into different biomes or the weather changes I've noticed that the temperature goes up or down depending on the circumstances. This leaves me to wonder if hot, cold, wetness, freezing or exhaustion will play a part in the overhaul that's mentioned for disease, crop failure, spoilage and more? Not exactly sure what to say here as it does seem viable giving the circumstances. A while ago I remember I think it was @ArcticuKitsu I could be wrong or perhaps @Deirdre that was discussing this upcoming update in another thread. From the 3rd person perspective, climate & the effects on the environment around you will this all be included in the next update or a later one?

** Any idea how to switch the game from Celcius to Farenheit? I do not understand celsius.

Good morning world :) One moment I need coffee before I share... (yawns a few times ) I dink I can, I dink I can lol Okay guys so over these past few days I've been rather busy trying to get ahead of this weeks videos, unfortunately that includes Rising World as well. With a lot of appointments this week time had to be stretched over this weekend to get most of this weeks videos done. Now they aren't all uploaded or edited yet we've got custom rivers, finished Didi Christensen's house & later getting back to work on the fortress as it is time to get back to work on it.

    Episode 112 -
Here in episode 112 we head over to Didi Christens world to build her a custom pond.

    Episode 113 -
We got a new mic! And we start the construction of the front porch of Didi's house 8) So far it looks great  if you like it :)

Now Episode 114 doesn't unlock until 12PM EST so I'll come back here in a couple hours to update you with the latest video. Again thank you all for your support it means a lot to me. It's time for my morning walk so I can stop yawning. bye for now ^^

Hello again :) I've been a bit busy creating tomorrow's episode of Rising world but without further ado guys Happy 4th of July. I really hope you enjoy this video as I have put a lot of time into getting ready for it. With the help of Didi Christensen this would of taken a lot longer. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart <3

In episode 111 we set up some horse races around the safari nature reserve, a grand open area for people to come by and relax and enjoy the show with plenty of refreshments to go around. Hope you enjoy

Hey guys there's a new episode of Rising World unlocking today at (12PM Eastern Standard Time) As I explained in the Vlog & last episode Rising World has been moved to 12PM instead of releasing at (10AM EST) I was beginning to feel a bit overwhelmed and did not want to burn out creating content that I enjoy so I made a schedule and I am going to stick to it. "9AM - 7 Days To Die, 12 PM Rising World and at 3PM The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind." Now on to the last episode of Rising World I give you...

    Episode 110 -

In episode 110 we play around with some fireworks and go mining for more sulfur which will be used in episode 111 today for a 4th of July Special. Didi Christensen has been a big help with beginning this project and I will come back here around 12 PM to share that episode. Meanwhile kick back, relax and enjoy the show. May the world be a safer & more peaceful place as not just America but every country around the world fought for their own independence to be free in one way or another. God Bless Earth, God Bless Creation. :saint:<3 I Love everyone no matter whom you are, for life has many pathways in the end we choose whom we are and that is what makes everyone their own special person. <3

I miss these deals every single time, went over to Humble today and was disappointed. As to why their notifications aren't being sent I don't know, perhaps my server firewall is blocking their emails much like it does with other garbage.. going to make an exception & see if that works. Thanks for the heads up there comrade.

Hello guys and gals hope your having a wonderful day I am with a brand new channel schedule which effects the time of Rising World being released. Also I see I have not been up to par on sharing my content with you all. I am very sorry for that so before I show off the new schedule video (recorded in rising world) let's catch up shall we?

    Okay Episode 108:

In episode 108 we build the veranda / balcony for the master suite bedroom. This hangs off the back of the house and I took the time to make it gravity safe just incase it ever becomes a thing. This way we don't have to worry about it collapsing during a future update :)

    Episode 109:

In episode 109 we start off replacing the foundation blocks with beams so they accent the house nicely & whentransfered between world it could actually be moved up and down using the Shift+Arrow keys. After a bit Didi christensen pays us a visit and we have some fun together both on camera and off. Unfortunately a lot of the bonus footage was corrupted during a power outage :| . Yeah that happened so during editing I could not add it to the video.

    Now onto the new schedule!

Welcome to my new way of doing vlogs  Today in Rising world which is not included as an episode number but more or less an inclusion to what time Rising World will be released at. This takes effect starting Monday so that I do not overwhelm myself and burn out while creating content. I did this more than once before and it made me || . I do not wish to repeat this so we're moving things around and later on after Betrayer is completed weekends will become cartoony. As a kid saturday morning cartoons was always my favorite thing to watch. Captain Planet, The Smurfs, Fraggle Rock & unfortunately pee wee's playhouse.;) Looney Toons was cool too. Anyways here's also a bunch of screenshots hope you enjoy <3

    Screenshots:

Hey guys and gal guess what? I finished the siding on Diane's house finally 8o yeah, it took a bit but that's what we do in today's episode of Rising World we fix up the face of the house facing the road so the siding is actually covering all the plywood and put siding on the left side of the house as well. Only a few things left now...

    Final things to do:
    1) Back Porch
    2) Front Porch
    3) Roofing tiles & fencing
    Interior:
    1) Patch up a few holes
    2) staircase to the second floor
    3) bathtubs with water??

Lastly.. I think I'll leave the decorating to Diane Christensen. This house was built with planks & beams and took a long time to accomplish but we are almost done.

First the power goes out, then it comes back on; I gather my wits & run out the door to catch a cab to my latest appointment. Stupid alarm clock I need a solar panel for that thing... Good afternoon ladies & gentlemen! Hope your day is going alright. With the pastel junk washed out of my hair & my nails painted?? :whistling: Yeah I love kids, they for some reason love to play with make up & pastels so I let them put it on me to keep them occupied :saint:<3 Anyways today I got a new video for you yesterday I did part 1 of finishing Diane Christensen's Home & today I got part 2 uploaded as well. Hope you enjoy & God Bless the little ones so funny and awesome they are... Wish I had a cellphone to take a picture to share you would of loved it :)

Hey guys and gals just released episode 105!

Today we get back to work on Diane Christensen's home and this time through today & tomorrow's video I aim to get the exterior done so that we can hop on the interior of the house and get some more decor complete so we can move on to the nature reserve. After the Nature Reserve is done we're going to break some houses block by block and move them since there really is no other way of removing them. Perhaps there is @dagoline is there a way to delete misplaced houses without the block by block routine, maybe in creative? If so I could use your help with that. Thank you :)

I actually like the idea/concept of crop failure, diseases and other related idea's added to the game. It separates this game from so many others and makes it even more unique. Same thing with creating the cars the concept is different & sets it apart. What some of you may be asking is about custom paint jobs, different interior perhaps even a station wagon. To me let's just start with the basic model first and then worry about the different varieties or flavor we prefer. Driving around in a 1980's station wagon like it's in style isn't exactly my idea of fun. For example the worlds we generate are relatively very bumpy, even if it's a superflat world the world still has it's bumps and bruises; because of this I like the idea of the jeep. It's an all terrain vehicle off road and still fun, I don't think a limo, bus or even a taxi would be worth driving across the worlds without a road to prevent the wheels on the bus from rolling down the road ahead of you. :whistling::) As for the boats beginning with a row boat would be awesome! We could go whitewater rafting down rivers, waterfalls and so much more with these things. If I could ask for one implementation before adding boats it would be waves and how big they can get while being affected by the weather. Would be kind of awesome to ride a row boat into the sea to be capsized by a monsoon or a powerful storm (hurricanes?.)

For those that prefer the medieval style for transportation & building you don't need a car. We have mounts & yet true I would love to see oxen or horses pulling a stable just for fun. Imagine plowing a field with a steer & manual plow.. :/ about that. Might be a little too old for my taste but for some they might enjoy it. When electricity is added personally I would like to see a blast furnace, ore crucibles & more something to combine ores into new types. Iron + Coal or otherwise iron & carbon in a blast furnace could make steel. This could be used for creating parts for vehicles, building materials and special factory parts. When electricity does come to the game I am hoping for rubber tree's, oil and all things related to electrical components. Crucibles, blast furnaces & computational devices could help with circuit boards, telephone poles for carrying electricity the list just goes on. When you step outside of gaming and take a look at the world around you, it changes your perspective. I have reason to believe this is the concept of the game though I can't be entirely sure. seasons would be a great addition versus a snow biome being beside a desert.

Today in rising World I'm kicking back relaxing and coming up with a concept my step mother helped me with. She suggested instead of a zoo to build a park some place NPC's could possibly walk their dogs, a community swimming pool, hiking trails & so much more. So today I pondered this hopped on RW and decided upon a nature reserve. Maybe not the brightest of idea's near a neighborhood (with children npc's one day) but all the same we need to preserve what will be left of this sahara before we convert it into urban development. It even comes with a desert close by that would make a great location for a custom lake for the community to go swimming at.

Well, unfortunately I can't say much about clay :D Right now it's not used by the game, and I'm not sure if it will actually stay in the game forever. We can only use a limited amount of terrain textures, and if we need another material in the future, clay will be replaced eventually (unless we really need clay) =O

Yeah I know it isn't used much for anything apart from terrain variation, but clay could have some use as well. We could make adobe blocks by baking it for more block variations, pottery for storing food or perhaps an alternative to stone for crafting those flower pots?. I would hate to see such a material disappear from the game when we as the community could help come up with some ideas for it. There's even a few posts in the suggestions for uses for the clay. As the game progresses in development perhaps it could be reimplemented at some point. For now I see your point, but I'll hang on to the hope that one day it can come back again. :saint:

Hey guys and gals are you ready for some more rising world media? I'm not the only one either, there's lot's of us here sharing media, screenshots & more and each and every one of you are awesome creators! Today I bring you episode 103 of our series, we go to Diane Christen's main world where her LP is taking place and help her out a bit with her barn as we have a lot of fun together :) Hope you enjoy!

Thanks a lot guys. Haven't seen it in the game in a long time as it used to be in the creative paint menu & found in snow biomes but I've had no luck. I'll try "item ore 1 12" and see if I can paint with it that way. if not all I can do is hope red can put in back into the creative paint menu again. Thanks a bunch :)

@red51 Where did all the clay go? Prior to the last nerf that changed the world generation in 2016-17 Rising World used to have clay, it showed up in the creative menu under placement and paint as a texture. Now as I play Rising World today I keep scratching my head wondering if it was removed entirely from the game, or if it is a bug that it no longer shows up in the creative menu? I talked with @dagoline about this previously and even she had no luck finding it either. Said something about it still being in the game but only found in a specific biomes but as to where I can't remember where. Perhaps it was the snow biomes again not sure. Planning on making some custom rivers, creeks, ponds, forests & such and increased the despawn rate to 10,000 minutes so walking through the woods one could see trump's, ferns, fallen trees and more. All the same can you please add it back? The nature reserve I'll be working on soon and some clay would work wonders. I can wait for the clay to come back but I do miss it. :(

I done, done it again 8o Hi there ladies & gentlemen hope your having a bright & cheerful day...don't forget your sunscreen  Oh yeah. Today I released episode 102 where me & Diane Christensen "AKA (DiDi Christensen)" go out and have a lot of fun together on her world instead of mine. Chatting it up, cheer & joy :) oh yeah was a great day yesterday & as much as we enjoyed it you should to, without further ado here's episode 102...

Oh yeah I seemed to of forgotten episode 101?? How could I forget to share the historic Fallout vault number of 101? =O No we didn't build a vault, but Vault-Tec will be a part of this world eventually 8o just not yet. The suburbs need to be built first and I am planning on a "Highways R' Us" montage where we spend 6 hours placing asphalt because I want most of this done in survival. Creative flight will always be allowed as is creative mining. As for spawning stuff in like planks & beams I need a better solution, perhaps a better computer. In episode 101 we go into creative to mark the paths for the highways to be installed & separate a part of the Sahara for a nature reserve. Feels wrong to take their land without giving them a home, so why not a nature reserve?
