A new update is now available, introducing seasons and more!
Latest hotfix: 0.8.0.2 (2024-12-30)

@ Articukitsu - Haa! I did trip with a bucket full of rainbow water around that area. Do you think that this could have something to do with it? :)

@Fobsily - Oh i know! Crazy isn't it! Oh i will Friend! I have no idea what will happen next. haa!

There was another weird thing which happened. I had a bunch of trees on my roof patio area, but i didn't really like the look of them once they were grown, so i chopped them down.
I went away mining (well, looking in vain for Aluminium ha!) and when i got back up to the surface...they were back again! haa! I cut them down a second time, and it let me actually keep everything except the stumps. haa! 30 Free logs and 10 free saplings! I'll not complain! hee hee!

Wow! That sound really lucky Friend! Nice one! Use it well! I'm not sure if they are meant to spawn like this myself. I don't believe so, but Red will know of course. haa!

Ore does appear when you mine into the ground friends. I've found some iron by doing this, though not a great deal of it. haa!

Adding to the carry weight idea, i think that hunger and thirst should wear down quicker when you're carrying heavy loads. Exertion and all that. haa!

I have a little farm going Friend, and i'm currently working on the usual mad decorations. I'm planning on trying out the planks as books this time on some bookcases. haa! Thanks for the Compliments Friend. I just wanted to get back to my old self, and stay faithful to the game. haa! :)

I became frustrated with myself for getting caught up in all the commands and flying, and whatnot. So, this world contains a 100% honest to the game dwelling. I mined every stone, chopped every log, and even though i've found absolutely no Aluminium yet, i plan to keep on looking until i happen to come across some. I've even ruled out flying and using 'L' for the lantern.

To build the roof of the house, i had to build a block staircase, and wibble wobble my way across, placing the woodblocks. haa!
I may sound like i'm taking this a little too seriously, haa! but i just want to be honest to the game and play it like it was intended to be played. I've also set a rule, that when i run out of meat, i'll have to fall back on vegetables and fruit.

I've already had a really interesting scenario, where i got absolutely lost in my (HUGE!) mine network, and ran out of watermelon. i was dying from thirst, and was frantically running around the mines trying to find the way out. I found it just in the nick of time. haa! It was awesome, and the intensity of it was delicious. haa! If i had just used fly mode, i would have missed out on that immersion. it was a real eye opener. haa!

I absolutely love the way we forage for materials, and the way we craft stuff, but might i suggest a book much like the Journal, with the same kind of hand-drawn style, but what we have are instructions in how to build things.
So, if we wanted to build, say, the Worktable, the Crafting book would instruct us to gather X amount of treelogs. Then it would tell us how to turn it into lumber, then we'd have to read how to put the legs on etc etc. So essentially we have a lot more challenge to the crafting aspect, and i really think that it would push the immersion of the game.
There could also be a sensitivity to the way you craft things, and perhaps player crafting experience so if you, say, attach a leg in a wonky way, you earn less crafting experience towards the next tier of crafting, and they could work less effectively compared to if they were made well.
As you 'level up' in the crafting book, new recipies could unlock, allowing you to create more advanced items, thereby continuing with Red's idea of the 'ages' progression. Ha!

Aye! I do this all of the time when i'm drawing. I finish, then leave it an hour or so. Busy myself with something unrelated, then go back. There's also the added bonus, that it will usually inspire further thoughts. haa!

Just a suggestion for later on, when the game has been fleshed out some more.
How about allowing characters to travel between worlds, so you could, say, have a forest in 'world 1' and take the wood from this world to 'world 2' I think it would be a neat option.

I would like to see a rustic variation to the Worktable Tier II, because those with 'oldy worldy' dwellings may find the modern design a little bit too modern from an aesthetic point of view.
I understand that this is intended essentially as a modern era object, but i think that it would be really nice. :)

@Forresst- Really nice ideas Friend! I strongly agree with the stone 'beam' idea, and think that perhaps it should have been in the game from the beginning really. Underground fungi and stuff definately! We need something to look at and give us the feel that this is in fact a changing environment and not just a 'room' underground. haa!
I also love the thought of replanting low shrubs. we should also get sticks from the bushes as well as saplings. Eventually, why not leaves too? For camo armour/clothing and a crafting ingerdient for decoration? :)
