Copy worlds from steam version to standalone version?

I just switched from steam version to standalone and wish to copy my old world over to the new install. I searched the forum first before posting this, but I could have missed the answer. I tried manually copying all that looked pertinent but no go. If not possible I'm fine with that... Blueprints & plugins copied over nicely, and the game is much smoother w/o steam. If I need to carve out a new world from start I'm up to it! Thank you :)

  • Basically you just have to copy the "Worlds" folder (which contains the individual world folders) from your Steam RW directory (/Steam/steamapps/common/RisingWorld) to the Standalone RW directory ;)

  • Tried that several times. I've attached the log. The error is likely on my end as it appears to be a memory problem. Either way, I'm very happy it's running so well now. :)

The world I'm trying to transfer is packed with objects, constructions and a lot of terrain changes over a very large area (rivers and such), so that may affect the situation.

    Thank you.

  • Thanks for the error log! Actually the game ran out of memory... unlike the Steam version, the Standalone cannot allocate the required memory dynamically :/ You can fix this issue by launching the game through the "Rising World 8GB.exe", then the game will allocate up to 8 GB of RAM ;)
