How much does it cost to run a server?
I had a server with "ping Perfect" and it cost me 32.00 a month. I had tons of RAM and SSD speed from their servers. I want to host my own server at home, but can't seem to figure it out even with the instructions Red has posted. I tried the steam version, but I get errors and no one seems to want to help.

I actually forgot I had already. I seemed to have got it to run with no errors, however, I am just seeing how long before the server name shows up in the multiplayer.

if your isp doesnt support ip loopback you will never see it in the list. others will tho and you will have to join via local ip.
or use a vpn
Loopback is 127.0.0.0/8 commonly just used as 127.0.0.1 or localhost in DNS space.
No ISP will deal with loopback as it never leaves any NIC.
