It depends on whether or not the hoster gives access to the Unity version (or if he allows to upload custom server files). Most hosters unfortunately don't provide the new version yet, which is a pity... only few hosters explicitly offer the Unity version (like GTXGaming).
Basically all that needs to be done is to enable the "unity" beta branch. This topic contains more information about that: https://forum.rising-world.net/thread/11490
In case of doubt, you probably have to contact gportal support and ask them if this is supported

Not sure how gportal works specifically, but you should maybe try to enter the beta name there, which is unity in this case - does it work then?

either way breaks the server, so i will contact them. It gives me connection timeout error

Hi
I find that it looks like at pingperfect the icon interface you ask for pingperfect support it will give you the unity version by default s is java
p.s I already had a problem with pinperfect
-
I contacted them and they are ready for me to try it, but I'm off to work now and will try afterwards👍🏻
-
well they have it fixed partially and it shows in the server list but I still get the timeout message, yikes. would it be a rule breaker to have one of you try to connect to it?

Changed the title of the thread from “Gportal Server version” to “PingPerfect(idk y i previously named it Gportal) Server version”. -

If you send me the IP (+port), I could give it a try

well my tech support guy couldn't connect either, so i will update here as I think the future solution will help others.

"In truth, I'm not 100% sure what the issue was - there were no errors seen in the logs, nor in the web console, and the only error returned when trying to connect was "Connection timed out". I'd re-verified the game files using Steam a few times and made sure that all Firewall settings were up to date, but it seems the reinstallation kicked the problem into touch."
so there's that, it works and nobody knows why it didn't at first....hmmph

I have a server on Pingperfect. Not sure what your question is here.

Ok good I could not discern from those comments if it was or you just did it. I had an issue with Pingperfect when they first put up the server as the Unity version it has an improper template and didnt work. It took them about 12 hours and several back and forths to resolve but they know how to do it.

yeah, it was just a random glitch in the software from what I could tell also. appreciate the responses
