Permissions Question

A new update is now available, introducing seasons and more!
Latest hotfix: 0.8.0.1 (2024-12-20)
  • Hi Red, I've been looking in the permissions - https://forum.rising-world.net/thread/11483-permissions-new-version/

There is a permission - createown - under blueprints. "Determines whether or not a player is allowed to create new blueprints which only contain his own buildings"

How does this work? Does it require that the land is protected using the built-in area protection, or, does it simply look at who created the construction elements within the area being blueprinted?

  • If you enable this permission, the user is allowed to blueprint anything he has built, i.e every element he has placed ;) Usually this is an easy solution to allow users to save their own creations, without allowing them to steal other buildings. It's only problematic if more than one player was working on a building (because then he can't save the whole building then if only "createown" is allowed).

If you want to bind this to areas, you could create an area permission instead and allow the "create" permission inside that area - this will then allow the player (who is assigned to the area using that area permisson) to blueprint everything that was built inside the area, no matter who built it ^^
