New here so excuse if posted incorrectly, and guidance is accepted.
The game is a masterful piece of work and I have enjoyed every minute. (New player as of latest version)
I would like more work to do LOL! Chop firewood and then replenish the land, feed/water/harvest crops and animals, keep nature from reclaiming my land, make some processes take longer (hide drying for example). Deal with rodents, and predators after my chickens and horse/sheep feed (which I should have to craft from wheat and corn).
Living in such natural beauty requires lots of work. Laziness or even poor decisions can be fatal! This at least will make the game more challenging without making it just another FPS but more of a survival sim. I cannot live this way in reality, but it's extremely relaxing in VR. However I got bored once stocks for winter were done and all progression was completed by early summer. It would be a game changer if the lakes freeze in mid winter, making snow a commodity; other seasonal limits such as what will grow when and the growth times increased such that there is ROI for farming smartly.
The journal is another thing that could be brought more to the player's focus. When we find a new resource, it opens recipes but but there's no obvious tell which ones. A clear prompt to visit the journal could pop up directing to the journal or crafting menu. If the journal is also like a "farmers almanac", providing information on how to....(this also makes the game an educational tool which is awesome).
Thanks again for this wonderful game. So many of the tiny details I see are a clear tell that this game is a labor of love. Hat tip!
