For this you will either need to dig out a huge hole in the ground, place on top of the ground then bury it, or do what i did and stick it in the ground with only the top half of the door sticking out then carefully pickaxe the ground away from the door, enter and pickaxe carefully so you don't destroy walls or fixtures. Digging it out was fun and reminded me of other games where you dig out dungeons.

If you now check the box for "Include air" under "Miscellaneous/Blueprint" in the game settings, you no longer need to remove the soil when placing it in an existing mountain.

So air and terrain must then be included in the blueprint.

Yes, in the game settings, which you can also access in-game by pressing Esc. This is necessary for setting the blueprint.
It's important that your blueprint includes terrain (you can check a box for this when creating it).

I've seen the include terrain button but didn't know about including air. I'll resave the blueprint and upload it
