For this you will either need to dig out a huge hole in the ground, place on top of the ground then bury it, or do what i did and stick it in the ground with only the top half of the door sticking out then carefully pickaxe the ground away from the door, enter and pickaxe carefully so you don't destroy walls or fixtures. Digging it out was fun and reminded me of other games where you dig out dungeons.

just to have an idea of size and number of constructions/objects

what it looks like under the surface
-
That looks cool.

If you now check the box for "Include air" under "Miscellaneous/Blueprint" in the game settings, you no longer need to remove the soil when placing it in an existing mountain.

edit:
So air and terrain must then be included in the blueprint.
-
Is that in the config settings or somewhere else
-
Yes, in the game settings, which you can also access in-game by pressing Esc. This is necessary for setting the blueprint.
It's important that your blueprint includes terrain (you can check a box for this when creating it).
-
I've seen the include terrain button but didn't know about including air. I'll resave the blueprint and upload it
-
ok I've redone it with air and terrain included. I'll leave the original in case anyone would prefer to plop it above ground and modify it. then make a new blueprint.
As others say, welcome to use and modify but please give credit for the original if you post it or use it anywhere. -

definitely has me thinking hobbit holes haha. I like how you fixed up the entry way. you probably noticed i filled in a lot of area with blocks that can be chipped away a bit so you can massage the terrain as you see fit.
