NPC Actions

  • Hello, any way to make a NPC that you spawn then lock them in place run and attack? I lock them in place so they don't wonder. I set them to aggressive, but they wont attack. I know I locked them, but it is either that or they wonder. I want to be able to have my NPC's to be like how the game drops them and they are not moving but will attack when you get close. Is that possible?

  • well it is possible, but not for us.. bandits at their bandit camps do exactly what you said here...

    Yea, I redresses the bandits and moved them to different positions and as soon as I am done, they start to roam. I lock them and when someone comes close, they just yell and dont move so they are sitting ducks.

  • The game indeed assigns a specific "activity" to npcs for this. In case of bandits, they have a "waiting" activity which means they're waiting until they see you. Unfortunately this is not exposed to the npc edit dialog yet... but thanks for bringing this to my attention! I will try to add this with the next update :)
